Damen Dredging: Work on Booster Station BS500 moves forward

Work on a brand new Booster Station type BS500 at the Damen Dredging Yard in Nijkerk is in full swing.

Ready for outfitting with diesel, dredge pump and controls, the container-sized unit will receive large hatches for practical access to all components.

The BS500 booster station has been designed especially for working in series with the CSD500 – the cutter suction dredging with identical dredge pump and drive.

“Both 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗖𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗿 are standard stock items ensuring a fast delivery,” said Damen.

The CSD500 incorporates a dismountable and heavy-duty robust design, which can be integrated with various customised options, including navigation package, spud carriage pontoon and a production measurement unit.
