Dredging at Lamma Power Station Underway

An emergency dredging operation of the Lamma Power Station Navigation Channel has officially started. An emergency dredging operation of the Lamma Power Station Navigation Channel has officially started.

A small fleet of vessels, including two grab dredgers, four hopper barges, two tugs and one survey boat, is deployed in the area, according to the Hong Kong Marine Department.

The number of vessels engaged in the works which will last approximately three months will vary over time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 50 meters around the grab dredgers will be established.
