DEME Group hosted Belgian Economic Mission led by Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid in Mumbai yesterday.
According to DEME’s official announcement, they “had the honor of welcoming the Belgian Economic Mission, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, on board of its trailing suction hopper dredger Congo River in Mumbai.”
The giant Congo River, the largest hopper in the DEME fleet, is carrying out dredging works in Mumbai.
During this week’s Economic Mission, DEME and its JV partner Jan De Nul signed a letter of award with Indian engineering and construction company ITD Cementation India Limited for dredging and reclamation works in Vadhavan Port, which is located on India’s west coast in Maharashtra.
