The Northern Territory Government’s Mandorah Marine Facilities project has achieved a new milestone with dredging and construction of two breakwaters now complete.

The new marine facilities are being delivered to improve and maintain public transport services for residents and visitors to Mandorah, Wagait Beach and Belyuen.

An estimated 80,000 tonnes of rock were strategically placed to form the two breakwaters to create a safe harbor for the new ferry pontoon.

According to NT Logistics and Infrastructure, the breakwaters and dredging were all completed before the heavy onset of the wet season.
