The City of Stockton, California, said that they will close one of the city’s boat launches for months while it has the area dredged.
According to the City, the Buckley Cove Boat Launch will be closed from October through December to remove decades of built-up sediment and make the water easier for boats to navigate.
Boaters will still be able to use the Louis Park Boat Launch and the Morelli Boat Launch to access the San Joaquin River.
The City also noted that though Buckley Cove Boat Launch will be closed, the park at Buckley Cove will remain open.
