Port Geographe dredging kicks off

Annual maintenance dredging has commenced to clear the entrance channel to the marina at Port Geographe, the Government of Western Australia’s Department of Transport said.

Due to bad weather, the installation of the offshore disposal pipeline has been delayed requiring the use of a temporary disposal area closer to shore.

The pipeline will be installed as soon the weather permits.

According to Transport WA, with this and a lot of similar activities, DoT continues to maintain safe navigation along the coast for skippers.
