The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) has opened bids for the construction of a new container quay – the North Terminal.
According to the company, APV has received four offers for the awarding competition for the execution of the container dock works in the northern expansion of the Port of Valencia.

The port’s new container terminal will be an infrastructure that will combine technology, eco-efficiency, intermodality and sustainability that will allow it to offer an optimal service to the Spanish economy and maintain the interoceanic character that guarantees connectivity with the markets of the five continents.
This infrastructure, which will be located in sheltered waters of the northern expansion whose works were completed in 2012, will have an area of about 137 hectares and 1,970 meters of docking line, with a capacity to house five million containers.
The new terminal will have state-of-the-art design, technologies and equipment, with a fully electrified installation, which will allow it to serve the large container ships in service, with high performance in both maritime and land operations.
Construction of the North Terminal is expected to start before the end of 2024.
