Southern Dredging Co. wins Charleston dredging deal

Southern Dredging Co. Inc., from Charleston, South Carolina, has won an $8.7 million firm-fixed-price contract for a maintenance dredging program in South Carolina.

Bids were solicited via the internet with three received, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) said.

Work will be performed in Charleston, South Carolina, with an estimated completion date of May 17, 2025.

Fiscal 2024 civil operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $8,704,795 were obligated at the time of the award, said DoD.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, is the contracting activity.
