Work is moving ahead on a dredging project at the Qual Run Golf Course, Rio Verde.

According to fhtimes.com , there is an ongoing process to remove sludge from the irrigation storage lake along the 18th hole of the course.

The sludge that has collected as sediment in the lake is being pumped out with a hose attached to a large, flexible container. The water drains out small holes in the container and flows back into the pond.

When the container is full it is opened and a front-end loader scoops the sludge into a truck along with a lot of golf balls.

The dredging project is a first step in the club’s major program to update the golf course irrigation system and pump stations.
