Spoilbank Marina has just announced the latest update on its marina development project.
“The 760 metre marina basin rock wall is almost complete, thanks to our contractor MGN Civil. With only 50 metres left to go, we’re excited to be nearing the finish line.”
Once complete, MGN Civil will continue building the breakwaters outside the basin.
The project is managed and delivered by Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA), in collaboration with the Department of Transport, Development WA, Pilbara Development Commission, BHP and the Town of Port Hedland.
PPA said that the Spoilbank Marina project is funded by the State Government, Town of Port Hedland and BHP.
The marina is expected to be operational in late 2023, with landside completion expected a few months after in 2024.
