Construction’s coming along well at Kirk Point, Better Boating Victoria (BBV) said.

The old boat ramp has been demolished and fill has been brought in to expand the footprint of the bigger parking area.

Jetty piles are being driven and tested, with the final piles to be driven next week in preparation for the jetty to be installed.

Construction of the breakwater will begin in coming weeks with rock and fill to form the core of the new structure.

According to BBV, the ramp’s closed during the build, with the nearest access at Werribee South or St Helens in Geelong.
