Manson Construction Co. has won a $49 million contract from the Army Corps of Engineers for dredging services in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.

According to the Mobile District, the contract calls for a 30” pipeline dredge and attendant plant to be used for maintaining harbors, rivers, waterways, channels, and bays within Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.

Under the contract, Manson will provide one of its dredging vessels to support the Mobile District’s need to perform annual maintenance dredging at various shoaling locations of the Federal navigation projects of Gulfport, Pascagoula, Mobile, Pensacola, and Panama City Harbors.

The exact dredging locations will be identified based on channel conditions and the need to restore specific reaches to their project depth.
