Dredging works, undertaken by Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI), are moving ahead in Lancelin.
In their official statement, the Shire of Gingin said that sand from the dredging operations in an area adjacent to the Lancelin jetty will be deposited on the foreshore in the vicinity of Harold Park (near the Lancelin Sands Hotel).
The dredging program will be will be conducted seven days a week and is estimated to be completed by Sunday, December 20.
Dredging stared earlier this week and these works may result in temporary noise disturbance for residents and visitors in the surrounding area, the Shire concluded.
