HID Dredging, a Chinese manufacturer of dredgers and dredging equipment, assembled the largest chain bucket dredger in Shandong Province today.

According to HID, the chain bucket dredger has a 57-meter length, a dredging depth of up to 15 meters, and a production capacity of 850T per hour.

“The dredger is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including an advanced hydraulic system and a sediment control system that can effectively separate the sediment from the water,” HID said.

This dredger consists of a series of buckets that are attached to a continuous looped chain, which is driven by a motor.

The buckets scoop up sediment and debris from the bottom of the water body and carry it to the surface, where it is deposited onto a barge or other type of vessel.

HID said that the dredger is expected to start operations soon.
