Accreditation granted for ten NMDC certificate programs

The ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), a wholly owned subsidiary of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has granted accreditation to the National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) for ten certificate programs.

Part of ANAB’s outreach efforts to accredit clients in the Gulf region, the accreditation under ANAB’s certificate program to ANSI/ASTM E2659-18, Standard Practice For Certificate Programs, applies to the National Marine Dredging Company’s certificates for job safety within the marine dredging industry:

  • Accident Investigation: Analysis and Reporting
  • Basic First Aid
  • Confined Space
  • Defensive Driving
  • Fire Warden
  • Forklift Operator Safety
  • Job Safety Analysis
  • Permit to Work System
  • Safety Leadership
  • Welding and Cutting Safety

“ANAB accreditation allows companies to demonstrate that their certificate programs represent the best quality education and training, and the job safety certificate programs of the National Marine Dredging Company exemplify our criteria,” said Dr. Turan Ayvaz, ANAB’s senior director of credentialing accreditation.
