Following the first call in mid-November, the Western Dredging Association (WEDA) has posted the “Second Call for Papers” for the Dredging Summit & Expo scheduled to be held at the Hilton Norfolk The Main Hotel from June 25-28, 2018.
The theme for this year’s conference is “ Navigating the Future in Dredging “, which will focus on dredging presentations with an emphasis on research, technology development, and pilot-scale projects within academia, government, and industry.
“ Speakers are encouraged to provide presentations that highlight the application of the work’s findings to future logistical, technical, and economic constraints and regulatory requirements within the dredging environment ,” WEDA said.
This year’s conference location in Norfolk, Virginia also provides an opportunity to highlight naval projects and Chesapeake Bay related topics.

Abstracts Deadline – January 15, 2018; Notification of Acceptance – February 5, 2018; Draft Manuscripts to be submitted – March 5, 2018; Reviewer Comments to Authors – April 9, 2018; Final Manuscripts to be submitted – May 14, 2018.
