eL-Tec Elektrotechnologie recently secured a contract for the outfitting of two trailing suction hopper dredgers that are currently under construction at Royal IHC.

The company will be responsible for the supply and integration of all main electrical installations, including the design, fabrication, and commissioning of the main switchboard, auxiliary switchboards and field materials.

The first vessel will be an TSHD 3700m³ Easydredge for Tecnoimport and Empresa Constructora de Obras Marítimas in Havana, Cuba. The vessel is the largest in the series of standardized Easydredge twin-screw TSHDs.

Second vessel will be an TSHD 2300m³ ‘’LESSE’’ for Dutch Dredging, Baggerbedrijf De Boer. The newbuild is being built at IHC partner yard, the MTG Dolphin Shipyard in Varna, Bulgaria.

Both vessels will be delivered in 2018.
