GLDD Wins Egg Harbor Coastal Protection Contract

The Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company from Oak Brook, Illinois, has won an $11.5 million contract for Egg Harbor flood control and coastal emergencies repair work, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) said in their latest announcement.

Bids were solicited via the Internet with two received, according to DoD.

Work will be performed in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, with an estimated completion date of January 5, 2018.

The main purpose of this project is to provide hurricane and coastal storm damage reduction along the coast.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is the contracting activity.
