Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) recently advertised a tender for dredging works in the Killybegs Fishery Harbor, Ireland.

The works will comprise environmental dredging of approx. 24,500m³ of contaminated marine sediments.

The tender also includes stabilization of the dredge material within the Fishery Harbor Center, removal of the stabilized material from site for re-use or disposal and removal of an existing stockpile of inert clay (circa 13,000m³) from the harbor.

According to DAFM, the contractor will need to put in place all necessary waste permits, licences or permissions required to lawfully stabilize the dredged material and remove it from site for re-use or disposal.

The deadline for submitting proposals for the €4.5 million tender is July 10, 2017.
