In an informal meeting on 18 August, Dutch members of the Young CEDA Board came together to plan the next Young CEDA event, a visit to Royal IHC in the second half of October.

The visit to the shipyard is timed to see the new jumbo cutter suction dredger which IHC is building for Boskalis and the two dual engine trailing suction hopper dredgers built for DEME.

All three of these dredging vessels will be trendsetting in their class in the industry.

Young CEDA will grab this opportunity to organize an afternoon excursion to IHC’s shipyards and to give its members – students and young professionals – the opportunity to learn about IHC and to hear about, and most of all see these new vessels.
