J.E. McAmis Scores $2.9 Million Dredging Contract

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, recently awarded J.E. McAmis a $2.9 million contract for the maintenance dredging of Port Orford and Charleston on the Oregon Coast.

The contract also includes dredging operations in Baker Bay, WA, and the Skipanon River, OR.

The anticipated scope of work for the Port Orford includes dredging and placement of approximately 25,000 cubic yards of material in 404 near shore site.

The Charleston part of work calls for dredging of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of material with placement in-water at the offshore portion of the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site F.

During the Baker Bay dredging, J.E. McAmis will remove approximately 120,000 cubic yards of material with placement in-water in the Columbia River within four miles (one-way).

Approximately 250,000 cubic yards of material will be dredged from the Skipanon River, with placement in-water in the Columbia River within four miles (one-way).

Work is slated to start in the first week of July.
