I.S. RIVERS, the 2nd international conference on integrative sciences and sustainable development of rivers, will take place on 22-26 June, 2015, in Lyon, France.

This event, organized by the GRAIE and ZABR, is an international conference dedicated to research and practices on natural and human-impacted large rivers, in particular functioning, changes and processes, interface and interactions, management policies and engineering.

It aims to promote multidisciplinary approaches and to engage all stakeholders to stimulate European and international collaboration.

Conference themes:

• Understanding aquatic and riparian ecosystems functioning and evolution; • Ecosystem services of large rivers; • Tools and methods to understand the complexity of socio-ecosystems and to build a framework for practices; • Environmental engineering and restoration; • Global changes; • Cities and rivers.
