Vietnamese shipbuilder Song Thu Corporation earlier today held a keel-laying ceremony for FSUE Rosmorport’s new trailing suction hopper dredger.

The colorful ceremony was attended by Director General of Rosmorport, Andrei Tarasenko and Deputy Director General of RS Pavel Shikhov.

The new TSHD 2000, designed by Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, will be used for excavation and removal of material from the sea bottom in order to ensure safe navigation at the seaport of Arkhangelsk.

Construction deadline for the vessel is February 2016.
