Foyle & Marine Dredging said that the Devon coastal protection project is getting underway.
"We've mobilized to Glensanda Quarry on Scotland's west coast, where we're currently loading approximately 6,000 tons of rock armor between our rock carrier ALANNA M and one of our flat-top barges," Foyle said.
"This project highlights our ability to provide a complete quarry-to-site marine logistics and rock placement service, using our own vessels, equipment and experienced crews."
The stone is destined for Torcross Beach in Devon, where it will be placed to provide vital coastal protection against the forces of the sea.
