Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded a contract to build a 300ft x 200ft Fainu harbor at the Raa Atoll, Maldives.
The deal was signed yesterday by Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq, CEO of the MTCC and Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure.
According to the government’s release, construction of the $2 million worth harbor project should be completed within 245 days.
The primary objective of the project is to provide safe and adequate access to the island. As such, the project encompasses dredging of an entrance channel and basin, reclamation of an offshore island with a small offshore jetty, quay wall and breakwater.
