Under the patronage of the Governor of Madina Province His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the foundation stone will be laid soon for a number of development projects that will be inaugurated in King Fahd Industrial Port Yanbu and in Yanbu Commercial Port in a total cost of more than $560 million.

His Excellency said that these projects are a part of the Ports Authority’s plan to develop the Saudi Ports and to improve their services confirming that these projects will achieve a quantum leap in the two ports regarding operating capacity and back-up services.

These projects will include construction of a berth for handling general cargo with back areas, construction of a berth for handling unpacked materials with the back-up operating zone, construction of a berth for providing different services and for receiving passenger ships, boats and yachts, deepening of a number of berths in addition to the approach canal and Al Duran Basin, execution of a security system in Yanbu Commercial Port, construction of 6 berths, rehabilitation of the ports infrastructure, construction of 2 multi-function tugboats and deepening of King Fahd Industrial Port entries and berths.
