Manson Construction, a century-old company, was awarded a $16,8 million contract for dredging works along the U.S. West Coast.

The works will be performed in Astoria, Ore., in San Francisco and Humboldt, Calif.

Estimated completion date is Sept. 15, 2014.

Manson, an employee-owned marine construction company specializes in design-build bridge construction, bridge repair and retrofit work, dredging of ports and waterways, land reclamation through beach renourishment and levee construction.
