Volvo Construction Equipment has introduced its EC380E crawler excavator, equipped with a powerful Tier 4 Final engine.

The Volvo heavy-duty EC380E crawler excavator is a productive machine that lowers operating costs through reduced fuel consumption and simple maintenance requirements. Powered by a proven Tier 4 Final Volvo D13 engine, the EC380E delivers high digging and breakout forces alongside reduced emissions with a 9 percent improvement in fuel efficiency.

The Volvo EC380E’s hydraulics are perfectly matched to the engine and are controlled by an advanced system which provides on-demand flow and reduces power losses within the circuit. The unique Volvo ECO mode contributes up to 9 percent of the machine’s total improved efficiency — without any loss of performance in most operating conditions.

As well as improving fuel efficiency, this increases control for more precise performance.
