Fiji: Rewa River Dredging Kicks Off

The Rewa River dredging program has officially commenced, according to fbc.com.fj.

Commissioner Central Lt Col Laisenia Tuitubou said that China Development Company, the contractor, is dredging in front of the LWRM office across the Nausori Airport at the moment.

“ They have signed an agreement for some social projects where these villagers benefit from the dredging, ” he added.

China Development Company is still waiting for an approval from the government to dredge other parts of the river right down to Nukutubu, reports fbc.com.fj.
