Anastasia State Park Beach Renourishment Ready to Start (USA)

The Anastasia State Park beach renourishment project is scheduled to commence this month.

“ During this time, you may see construction equipment and pipes on the beaches. This equipment is being used to pump sand onto the shore as part of a statewide shore protection project, ” announced floridastateparks.org.

“ In the park, this is intended to protect the dunes, which are home to the endangered Anastasia Island beach mouse. ”

This renourishment project could last several months, according to floridastateparks.org.
