The City of Alpena dredging program officially commenced yesterday.

For the duration of this project, access to the Marina will be limited and delays exiting the Marina may occur.

Launch ramps are open, however boaters are urged to use the North Riverfront Park boat launch located behind the Post Office on Fletcher Street. Site access by vehicle will also be limited during this work with significant trucking of dredge spoils from the Marina.

It is anticipated that this work will take 30 day to complete. This time frame could be extended if construction delays occur.
