USA: Corps to Invite Bids for Chincoteague Inlet Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, plans to invite bidders for the Chincoteague Inlet maintenance dredging program. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, plans to invite bidders for the Chincoteague Inlet maintenance dredging program.

During this project, approximately 34,350 cubic yards of material will be removed from the Chincoteague Inlet Federal Navigation Channel.

This work will be performed by a cutter-head dredger, and all dredged material should be transported by pipeline and placed at the designated overboard placement areas at Ocean Bar and Lewis Creek Placement Sites.

The estimated value of this contract is between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the anticipated date of the solicitation is on or about 26 August 2013.
