The major reconstruction of the Stone Harbor beachfront ends with two blocks of work in Avalon on the south side of town.
On Sunday morning, July 28th, Norfolk Dredging announced that it has reached the Avalon border and will be doing final beach work at 79th Street and 80th Street in Avalon for the balance of the day.
All beaches are open; beachgoers who access the beach in the project area will be safely directed to another beach a block or two south or north of the project area.
This work is expected to be completed by Monday afternoon, July 29th.
All other beaches are open.
