The Department of Natural Resources announced that Mackinac Island State Harbor in Mackinac County will be temporarily closed to boaters who do not have a reservation from July 8 until July 13, 2013, due to emergency dredging at the facility.
DNR Parks and Recreation Division staff will be working to get the site open as soon as possible. In the meantime, other sites in the area include:
-Straits State Harbor, Mackinaw City (located 8 miles southwest of Mackinac Island)
-Mackinaw Municipal Marina, Mackinaw City (located 8 miles southwest of Mackinac Island)
-St. Ignace Marina, St. Ignace (located 6 miles northwest of Mackinac Island)
