On June 26, CHEC and the project owner Hutchison Ajman International Terminal jointly delivered a launch & ground-breaking ceremony for the Ajman Port reconstruction project in the UAE.

With a contract value of 86.3 million dirhams (some 24 million U.S. dollars), undertaken by CHEC, the project is a multi-system building project predominated by industrial cold storages, which involves construction of cold storageand the dormitory area, installation of the electromechanical system and the reconstruction of container yard. The construction period of cold storages and the dormitory area is 9 months, and the reconstruction period of container yards is 11 months.

The project is of great significance. After its completion, the project will boost the operating capacity of Ajman Port and the economic development of the UAE.
