VolkerStevin has received the Most Considerate Site Runner-Up award for the Lower Todmorden and Walsden FAS Phase three project at the National Site Awards, given only to the top 26 Gold Award winning projects in the UK.
VolkerStevin also won two Bronze Awards for the Central Felixstowe Coast Protection Scheme and Duddington Sluice Replacement.
All of the awards were presented on 25th April 2013 at the National Site Awards Ceremony at Plaisterer’s Hall, London.
The team at Duddington Sluice Replacement stood out for its innovative use of CCTV mobile technology to monitor the site at night for added security in this particularly remote area, and the Central Felixstowe Coast Protection Scheme was commended for its use of public liaison, which included a visitor’s centre and an information gazebo on the sea front during the bank holiday weekend.
