Drogheda Port Company has announced that maintenance dredging works have commenced on Saturday 5th January 2013, duration approximately four weeks.

This dredging program will be concentrated at the river mouth and seaward approached to the river Boyne estuary.

The trailer suction dredger MV Lough Foyle, call sign 2FCK3, will be maintaining a listening watch on VHF channels 11 & 16.

Vessels entering and leaving Drogheda Port during the period of the works should exercise extreme caution and while passing the dredger and should reduce their speed to a safe minimum manoeuvering speed.

The dredging operations will be carried out twice daily, approximately 4 hours before high water to 2 hours after high water.
