USA: Port Fourchon Dredging Moves Ahead

The Greater Lafourche Port Commission’s Slip C Dredging project in the Northern Expansion area is currently in progress. The dredge “Mike Hooks” will be working in Slip C for approximately two months. The dredge is using a submerged line across Flotation Canal and floating line along the embankment.

The Greater Lafourche Port Commission’s Slip C Dredging project in the Northern Expansion area is currently in progress.

The dredge “Mike Hooks” will be working in Slip C for approximately two months. The dredge is using a submerged line across Flotation Canal and floating line along the embankment.

The Port Commission expects minimal delays, with brief waterway closures in the dredging area during the installation and removal of submerged lines.
