The Burleigh County Highway Department has unveiled plan for the dredging of the channel across a sandbar on the south side of Fox Island.
Regarding this plan, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has set a 15-day public comment period.
According to the Burleigh County Highway Department, the plan includes dredging of 11,200 cubic yards of material to form a 600-foot channel, which is intended to improve the draining of south Bismarck stormwater into the Missouri River.
