USA: San Diego Harbor Dredging Starts Soon

A dredging project on the approach channel of San Diego Harbor will soon commence. The channel will be dredged to a depth of -55 ft MLLW. It is estimated that about 300,000 cubic yards of material will be dredged. It will then be placed in the nearshore at Coranado Beach, approximately 2.5 miles eas

A dredging project on the approach channel of San Diego Harbor will soon commence. The channel will be dredged to a depth of -55 ft MLLW.

It is estimated that about 300,000 cubic yards of material will be dredged. It will then be placed in the nearshore at Coranado Beach, approximately 2.5 miles east of the Entrance Channel.

The project will last for approximately 8 months, FedBizOpps reports.

The cost of the project will be from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
