A bill allowing North Myrtle Beach to use a special tax district to pay to dredge Cherry Grove’s canals is now law, reports myrtlebeachonline.com.
The House overrode Gov. Nikky Haley’s veto, which objected to expand the special dredging tax district.
Final meeting, of the special committee for capital projects,will be held today.
Chairman Dan Stacy has said funds for port dredging will be included if the law passes.
