Russia: Rosmorport Strengthens Dredging Fleet

On May 4th 2012, the signing of the acceptance-transfer acts for the self-propelled bilge dredger «Ivan Cheremisinov», purchased by FSUE “Rosmorport” for the needs of the Astrakhan branch, took place.

At this moment the vessel is located in the Tuapse seaport, where it is passing the customs clearance. After the registration the vessel will be ready to work under the Russian flag.

Strengthening of own dredging fleet is the part of the enterprise fleet modernization program and is aimed at the costs optimization and increase of dredging efficiency.

It plays an important role in vessels safe movement ig of channels and basins of the seaports. The programme includes purchasing of dredging facilities for a total of about 40 million dollars during next 2 years.
