Malaysia: Sand Dredging at Kuala Sungai Concerns Land Owners

According to Bernama, six land owners at Kuala Sungai Sedim are concerned that the land slides affecting their land will worsen following the continuous sand dredging work in the area.

„ The sand dredging work, carried out since two years ago, had caused serious erosion of their land ,“ the land owners claimed.

One of the land owners, Abd Kadir Ahmad, 64, regretted that no action was taken by the land office to resolve the problem, but to allow the sand dredging work to continue despite protests from residents in the area.
