Tailings deposits present challenges and opportunities that require the owners to excavate and transport the tailings contained in TSFs to another location, whether for safety, reuse, or disposal reasons. This transport must be done as efficiently as possible.

IHC has been developing an alternative solution that performs tailings transport by slurrification and pumping tailings by means of the use of integral, compact, and modular units that can overcome the problems of traditional methods.

This white paper examines the advantages of integrated slurrification equipment compared to conventional methods for tailings transport, with potential benefits including cost savings, water conservation, and reduced carbon emissions.
