Over the last few weeks, DEMCON unmanned systems have been putting the latest newbuild autonomous survey V5750 7m USV (VO:X Barentsz) through its paces in sea trials as part of its journey toward certification.
“ Despite some autumn waves and winds, the vessel continues to prove its capability in real world conditions – sailing as designed by simulations, maintaining speed, and showing stability also in higher Sea States during some of the first trials ,” said DEMCON .
Now, the Company is moving into the next phase: educating the users.
“ In the coming weeks, we will be working closely together with Van Oord ‘s operators and technical staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to understand every feature and capability ,” said DEMCON.
