Norfolk Dredging nabs $19M dredging contract in North Carolina

Norfolk Dredging Co., from Chesapeake, Virginia, has won a $19 million firm-fixed-price contract for a maintenance dredging program in North Carolina.

Bids were solicited via the internet with four received, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) said.

Work will be performed in Southport and Wilmington, North Carolina, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2025.

Fiscal 2024 civil operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $19,045,750 were obligated at the time of the award, said DoD.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, is the contracting activity.
