Haven Dredging recently conducted several trials on their innovative agitation dredging machine – the Tiamat.

According to the company, the comparisons with traditional dredging methods have revealed staggering cost savings with Tiamat.

The cost of using Tiamat stands at less than a £1.00/m3, compared to traditional TSHD methods, which can range from £2-£3/m3, cutting the cost of dredging by up to one third of the cost of traditional methods.

Apart from this, Tiamat significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional dredging approaches. Predicted daily emissions with Tiamat are approximately one-third of those associated with a TSHD per cubic meter of sediment dredged.

Discover how Tiamat not only balances the scales between cost efficiency and ecological preservation but tips them in favor of a greener, more economical future.
