The last week of January, Royal IHC’s Training Institute hosted a group of young officers from Van Oord.
As part of their preparations, a short course about general dredging and Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers was provided.
“ In five days, the participants got to know some of their new colleagues, the TSHD’s components, working methods, loading & stability and more ,” said Royal IHC. According to the Dutch giant, the theory training helped to build a strong foundation of knowledge and provided them with the jargon and shared vocabulary used in the dredging industry.
