The mobilization phase, while complex, has been successfully completed, and the focus has now shifted to the dredging itself.

According to Mashpee Harbormaster Robert Tomaino, the channel is usually dredged annually in February or March. But this year, the channel went without the procedure until Monday, the first day of dredging.

The project aims to remove approximately 7,500 cubic yards of sediment and debris from the channel, a task expected to span approximately 20 days.

This effort represents an important step in maintaining safe navigation and supporting local maritime activities.
