McLaughlin & Harvey constructing fourth berth at DP World London Gateway Port

McLaughlin & Harvey, working on behalf of DP World, recently began work on the construction of a fourth container berth at DP World London Gateway Port.

This investment of £350m at the London Gateway logistics hub will boost the local economy, bolster supply chain resilience and increase capacity to accommodate the world’s largest vessels.

A key and critical element of these works is the construction of the new quay wall. These works involve the installation of steel tubular piles through a combination of vibratory hammer and impact hammer piling techniques.

This package of works has now fully commenced on-site and is currently programmed to last until July 2023, depending on factors such as tide times and weather conditions.
